Stephen Hamya is an Internal Audit Executive with over 20 years of experience in governance, risk management, and sustainable development finance. He currently serves as Chief Internal Auditor at Uganda Development Bank, where he provides independent assurance to the Board and Executive Management on risk, controls, and governance. A former Assurance Senior Manager at Ernst & Young across Uganda, Rwanda, and Switzerland, Stephen holds a Master of Leadership in Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from Makerere University. He is a Fellow of the ACCA, and a member of both ICPAU and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
